Working together for wild places
COG brings people together to care for public lands and outdoor spaces across southeast Wyoming. Through volunteer projects, community partnerships, and stewardship efforts, we help improve trails, restore habitat, support recreation, and create lasting connections between people and the outdoors.
How we help
Community
Volunteer Projects
We organize volunteer projects that improve outdoor spaces. From trail work to restoration projects, volunteers play a direct role in caring for public lands.
Partnerships & Collaboration
We work with local organizations, agencies, schools, and more to help coordinate projects, share resources, and support stewardship efforts.
Stewardship & Education
Our projects encourage hands-on learning and community involvement while helping people better understand and care for Wyoming’s outdoor spaces.
Projects we work on
Our volunteer projects range from building trails, to enhancing wildlife habitat, to cleaning up trash and promoting responsible outdoor ethics. We work with community groups of all types — cyclists, angles, hikers, hunters, rock climbers, backcountry horsemen, and more — to enhance our public lands and expand opportunities for responsible outdoor recreation.
